A Simple and Effective 10m Band Moxon Antenna Design.

This horizontal Moxon antenna designed for the 10m band showcases good performance with minimal complexity. With dimensions of 4m x 1.3m and positioned 10m above the ground, it offers a nearly bi-directional radiation pattern, favoring one lobe towards the source side.

The VSWR can be minimized by adjusting the gap between its two elements. However, this particular design employs a 450 Ohm ladder-type transmission line, emulating real line characteristics such as loss parameters and velocity factor. This transmission line effectively connects the antenna's elements, resulting in an input impedance of 75 Ohm, which is resonant at the antenna terminals.

The utilization of this ladder-type transmission line eliminates the necessity for an additional matching network. Consequently, this design significantly simplifies the construction process without compromising performance.
